The manual way
- Work scattered across tools, tabs, and spreadsheets
- Operators copy data by hand to keep it in sync
- Effort scales with headcount, not with systems
- Things break silently and get caught late
- Reporting is a weekly fire drill
Dashboards, automations, and operator tooling, built around a measurable outcome we agree on up front.
Same business, same team, two completely different ceilings. The difference is whether the systems do the work or your people do the systems' work.
The manual way
The Kunz way
Every engagement is built around a measurable business outcome. No retainer hours. No vague consulting. Just the system that fixes the thing that's broken.
Spreadsheets, SaaS tools, and disconnected systems become one dashboard your team actually uses. Real time. Single source of truth.

A 30 minute systems audit gets us aligned on what's broken, what's bleeding money, and what to fix first.
30 min, free
We design and ship the custom dashboard, automation, or system that solves the problem. Live in days, not months.
Days to weeks
We measure what's actually working, refine what isn't, and expand into the next opportunity. Your operations should compound.
Ongoing
Every engagement is measured against an outcome agreed up front. Here is what that has looked like.
Revenue growth, year-over-year
The systems we sell are the systems we run on. Coastal Clarity is the family-run service business in San Diego where Kunz & Co. was first built, and where every system gets battle-tested before it ever ships to a client.
Monthly admin costs reclaimed
A growing recruiting firm with eight billable recruiters needed to track billable hours, contractor commissions, tax filing, and weekly payroll without hiring an admin to do it. We built the system that does it for them.
Lead flow growth, sustained 15× return on ad spend
A growing home services business needed leads, not impressions. We built profit-first paid acquisition with lead-management automation that scaled the pipeline without scaling the cost per booked job.
Per week reclaimed for the principal
An independent academy's principal was spending one full work-day a week on reports, attendance tracking, and parent communications. We automated the admin so leadership could focus on leading.

Kunz & Co. is run by Chris Kunz. Chris owns and operates Coastal Clarity, a family-run service business in San Diego scaling toward $500K in its second year.
Before founding Coastal Clarity, Chris spent nine years in tech. He started in web development in 2017 and expanded into digital marketing and SEO work for growing businesses. Three of those years were spent as a product manager at a tech startup, where he shipped both internal and external tools and saw the company through ideation to its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange.
The systems Kunz & Co. builds for clients are the same systems Coastal Clarity runs on. We sell what we use.
Thirty minutes where we walk through how your business currently runs, where the operator's time is going, and which numbers leadership doesn't trust. By the end you have a leak map, rough dollar estimates, and a recommendation for which system to build first. No sales pitch.
Most builds ship in days to weeks, not months. The first working version usually lands in your environment within a week or two, then we iterate weekly with your team in the loop. The longest engagements run six to eight weeks; most are shorter.
By outcome. We agree on a measurable result up front (a metric that will move, an hour count reclaimed, a dollar amount saved) and we ship the system that delivers it. No retainer hours, no open-ended consulting bills.
Growing service businesses, typically in the $500K to $5M revenue range: home services, recruiting, education, fire safety, electrical. The common thread is operators running the systems instead of running the business and needing that time back.
No. Build ends with the system live in your environment, your team trained, and metrics in place to verify the outcome. Many clients continue into Optimize for ongoing measurement and refinement. Many don't, and that is fine.
We're based in San Diego, California. About a third of our clients are local San Diego service businesses; the rest are remote engagements across the United States. The work is mostly async with weekly video calls, so location rarely matters.
